Dear friends,
I am so excited to be writing you this letter because it means that God is once again leading me to work with Mission Possible this summer! Mission Possible is the three-phase teen mission program at my home church, Forcey Memorial Church. Last year God blessed our team of ten people in “phase one” all around Maryland. We shared the gospel with lots of people, and I was able to help lead many to Christ! This was my first opportunity to be involved in a ministry apart from my family ministry and God used it to help me grow so much in my walk with the Lord.
This summer our team will be going to Chicago for “phase two”. The first week, we will be working with Breakthrough Ministries who help the homeless. Weeks two through five, we will be volunteering at a camp in the inner-city part of Chicago. We will be running the camp for kids, many of whom have probably never heard of Christ. Week six, we will be evangelizing in Ocean City. Last year we spent two weeks there so I am very excited to be returning there to do open air evangelism and mimed dramas.
I am sending you this letter to ask you to please support me through your prayers. I know that prayer is the best support you can give. We will need prayer for safe travel, that everyone will stay healthy, that God will open the hearts of the people we will be ministering to, and that we will remain positive and continue to remind ourselves that Jesus has called us to go into all the world and preach the gospel!
We will need financial support as well. Each member of the team must raise $2,500 before June to pay for travel, food, evangelistic materials, and lodging. I am so thankful for those of you who supported me financially last year. Your support not only helped others hear about Jesus, but helped me become stronger in my faith.
